Kantha Dish Cloth
Kantha Dish Cloth
Who couldn't use a soft, absorbent, and fast-drying dishcloth in their kitchen? These Kantha-stitched dishcloths are handmade by the women of the Asha Project in India. Kantha is a traditional stitch done in West Bengal where line after line of thread is stitched across the length of a recycled saree material. These dishcloths, in particular, are made from 3 layers of recycled Saree material. Each dishcloth goes through the hands of 3 women and creates 4 hours of work! Your purchase makes an impact.
Material: Recycled Saree Fabric - You will notice that your dishcloth is already well-loved, displaying patches and small imperfections. That is what we love about recycled Saree products. They bear the patches of the women who loved them first! And every new stitch tells the story of a woman breaking the cycle of poverty by using her skills to help provide for her family and community. (Each dishcloth is unique and may vary in color/patterns from those pictured).
Measurements: 11.5" x 15"
Care Instructions: Wash gently. Tumble Dry. Love Well.
