Five Dot Press is a woman-owned business. Jess started designing cards after her husband's cancer diagnosis in 2017. She noticed the fear of saying the wrong thing in important moments can often keep us from saying anything at all. She wanted to help bridge that gap, so she used the motto "laughter is the best medicine" to design cards that make connecting simple during the good, bad, and messy moments of life. Tommy passed away in 2021 and she is continuing her business to honor his fight, humor, and spirit. A portion of the proceeds goes to Esophageal Cancer Research in Tommy's memory.
