These handmade Prosperity Hen Ornaments, created by a women's craft cooperative in India, are shaped with scraps of recycled fabric. Glass beads and little brass bells also adorn each strand. Fabric print, bead colors, and lengths may vary slightly. Each ornament has 3 small hens and a bell, each measuring approx. 10" long in length.
ABOUT THIS SMALL BUSINESS:
Indika is an idea that grew out of their love of India’s creative traditions and their interest in social welfare. They are connected with a handful of organizations around India that work to bring employment to artisans that keep traditional skills alive. These organizations are focused on ecological awareness and self-sustainability. In the face of harsh climates and natural disasters, they push boundaries socially, economically, and technologically given the work they do.
