Our Kantha Aprons are handmade by the women of the Asha Project in India. Kantha is a traditional stitch done in West Bengal where line after line of thread is stitched across the length of a recycled saree material.
Each apron is pleated with a matching fabric waistband that ties in a beautiful fluffy bow in the back! Every Kantha Apron goes through the hands of 5 women and provides approximately 6 hours of work for women to support their families. Your purchase makes an impact!
Material: Recycled Saree Fabric (Each apron is unique and may vary in color/patterns from those pictured)
Measurement: 24" x 19"
Care Instructions: Wash gently. Tumble dry. Love well.
ABOUT THIS SMALL BUSINESS:
Asha Project was created with a vision to empower women in India to help break the cycle of poverty that has a hold on their families and communities. The Asha Project believes HOPE (Asha) is the first step in breaking the cycle of poverty in India and around the world.
